It could be endo, could be something else. But really, if your dr is saying they will not perform a lap on you just b/c you don't have pain while having sex? Well that dr. is probably not the one you would want treating you if you had endo. Endo can grow in so many different ways and in so many different areas that the symptoms do vary from woman to woman. Endo should not be treated by just any regular obgyn-it should be treated by an endo expert. You would need a lap to diagnose the endo, cat scans, mri's, ultrasound wont work. But I say find a good endo doc, and Im sure once you do, they wont have a problem with getting you a correct diagnosis. Good luck

A dr. not willing to see if you have endo is not a good dr. if you are going through all of this. I came in with sever pelvic pain and had Ct scans and ultra sounds and when nothing could be found they sent me to a obgyn. She did a test where she pushed on my uterus and it hurt me so bad i cried. So, three days later she did a lap. and i had endo. I never had a problem with periods they were always normal. No pain during sex. Nothing, all of a sudden it just hit me with pain and there it was. So, no you don't have to have all the symptoms to have it you could have just one. I was really lucky to have a dr. that believed me and did something to help me. It wont hurt to get a lap it will require recovery time but it is worth it to just see, even if they don't find anything. At least then youll know. Find a dr. that deals with endo patients and has done what seems almost to be a crazy amount of laps. something like thousands. go research info about endometriosis and bring what you find important with you highlight the parts you want to disscus. Like look right here it says you don't have to have all the symptoms ect., ect. Tell them you are willing to have the surgery just to see and it would make you feel better. I have heard bringing someone with you makes the dr. not so fast to tell oh tough shit so maybe that would help. Have them also tell the dr. the suffering they see you go through. Hope this helps.
